Our approach

Iriselle Studios designs experiences that respect your attention and your privacy. Our apps do not require an account, include advertising trackers, or sell personal information.

The Swell Brief

The Swell Brief stores saved surf spots, preferences, forecasts, alerts, and session feedback locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Shared app storage and Watch connectivity keep this information available to The Swell Brief, its widgets, and your paired devices. Iriselle Studios does not receive this on-device data.

If you allow location access, The Swell Brief uses your location on the device to find nearby surf spots and public observation stations. A rounded coordinate may be sent to Open-Meteo to return the marine and weather forecast you request. A coordinate or public station identifier may be sent to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration services, including NOAA CO-OPS, the National Data Buoy Center, and the National Weather Service, to return tides, buoy observations, and safety information. These services receive the technical request data needed to respond and process it under their own privacy policies. The Swell Brief does not use location for advertising or tracking.

When you choose to record a surf workout, The Swell Brief may read and write workout, heart-rate, and active-energy information through Apple Health with your permission. Health information stays in Apple Health and on your devices; Iriselle Studios does not receive or use it for advertising. You can review or revoke Health and location permissions at any time in Settings.

Bubble Sanctuary

The game stores progress and preferences locally on your device so your Sanctuary can be waiting when you return. This on-device data is not sent to Iriselle Studios. The current version does not require an account and does not include third-party analytics or advertising.

Ordinary Wonders

Ordinary Wonders does not collect personal data, require an account, or contain advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking. Discovery progress, reading size, sound choices, motion preferences, and finding-mode preferences are stored only on your device. Iriselle Studios does not receive this information.

You can reset one place or the entire collection from the Wonder Journal. Deleting the app also removes its locally stored information. Ordinary Wonders does not ask children for a name, location, photo, contact information, or other personal information.

This website

This website does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics. The contact form does not submit information to a database; it opens a message in your own email app. If you email us, we use the information you provide only to respond to you and manage that correspondence.

Our hosting provider may process basic technical request data, such as an IP address, browser type, and access time, to deliver and protect the website.

Children’s privacy

Our apps are designed for a general audience and do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the applicable app from your devices. Workouts already saved to Apple Health can be viewed or deleted in the Health app. You may also ask us to delete email correspondence you previously sent, subject to any legal recordkeeping obligations.
